A wet kiss was impressed upon the side of my neck, his fingers dancing in circles on the purple bruise on my cheek, pressing slightly down on it. Sometimes, he still touched me as if I was a flower. I guess he had to make up for all those crazy nights he didn't. I just knew he was out, doping up, and he knew I was home, waiting for him....
"...He'd never realized that fire could be so damned loud." When tragedy strikes at Eric Bloom's house after a late night writing session, he and Buck Dharma have an experience in evacuation that brings them closer together, and brings about a new source of inspiration to bring triumph to their band....

Ah, I love that last line! Damn these two are crazy! —xyliana, for sgSixx's Bad Motherfuckers
Fucking brilliant. So well done... I applaud you. You were dealing with some really complex characters here are you've done it masterfully. They're real humans. The emotions are raw and twisting, and Ritchie's jab at David about dying of a broken heart made me laugh in the middle of this piece, which is hardly a funny one. I have a feeling that this is the kind of story that every time you read it, you notice something else or something different jumps out at you, so I know I'll be returning to it. Thank you for this and nice work. —therealgloria, for BaronZemo's California Scheming
