Wishlist! From Oct. 1st Nov. 30th, you'll be able to fill in your wishlist with pairings & prompts.

Everyone can make up to 12 wishes. It does not matter if you and someone else make the same wish. (Maybe Mustaine/Ellefson!dog collar is really popular this holiday season—so be it.)

You do not have to commit to writing anything in order to make wishes. (At the same time, you are not guaranteed that any of your wishes will be written—that's why they're called "wishes.") With luck, everyone will get at least some little thing to enjoy.

Starting Oct. 15th, the Big Wishlist will be made public. It won't include any wishers' names, just the pairings and prompts everyone has requested so far.

You do not have to submit a wishlist in order to write.

There is no minimum (or maximum) word count. We will even allow WIPs (unfinished stories) to be posted (and hopefully you'll finish them after the holidays).

Stories can but need not be explicit.

There is no "claiming" of wishes. This means that someone could receive more than one story—they could even receive more than one story for the same pairing/prompt—but that's the way the Ficmas Fest goes here on Rockfic. :)

The only rule we ask you to follow is that your story include both the requested pairing and the requested prompt.

Starting Nov. 1st, you'll be able to start posting your Ficmas fics via a 'submit fic' link on the Big Wishlist for the pairing/prompt you wrote. Your story won't show up on the site till the reveal date. However, if you need to edit it or add chapters, you'll find it in your Manage Stories area.

Just to tease everyone, your story title, plus the pairing/prompt you wrote, will show up under the Ficmas Tree.

You have until Dec. 24th to post your fic(s).

Ficmas Day is Christmas Day! All the gifts under the Ficmas Tree turn into active links, and all of the stories flood the archive.

And beyond! In January, we run two challenges: "Gift yourself" and "No wisher left behind." For gift yourself, you get to write one of your own wishes (you know you want to!). For "No wisher left behind," we'll post a list of wishes from wishers who didn't receive any gifts on Ficmas day. We'll try to get at least one wish for each of these wishers filled by January 31st. We'll remove wishes as fics are posted, until there's (hopefully!) nothing left.
